OUR STORY

Ladder of Opportunity was founded in May 2020 with the mission to provide financial assistance to African American teenage Males with opportunities that would otherwise not be possible. In today's time to be a competitive applicant to jobs and colleges, students need a resume of experience and high GPAs. What many schools and jobs don't include in their decision processes is the gap in resources students have. Many African American males are exceptional candidates but lack a long list of experiences or a perfect GPA due to their families' inability to financially support the student in getting a tutor, going to leadership camps, etc. In order to change the narrative, there has to be a support system available to help educate and further the experiences African American teenage males receive. No one should be left behind, and through the Ladder of Opportunity, no one will.
